He’s Go-Go Ray, but you may know him as The Drum Counselor. Either way, Go-Go is a revered and remarkable performer, one whose name brings along with it instant respect and awe among drummers across the nation. Beyond performing, Go-Go is a clinician and educator, endorses Aquarian Drumheads, Pro-Mark Sticks, and Bosphorus Cymbals, and is a Guitar-Center Drum-Off Champion. The Counselor was also the replacement for the great Jim Riley of Rascal Flatts as the private drum instructor at Kansas City Drumworks.

Go-Go’s legion of fans and students will never hesitate to let you know that he’s among the best in the region, and arguably, the world. His professional career has at times kept him on the road for over 250 days a year, drumming for infamous KC bands like Billy Goat, KARMA, 90 Minutes, Mike Dillon’s Go-Go Jungle, and more. Go-Go has performed with some of the world’s most renowned musicians, including Les Claypool and Stanton Moore, and has toured and shared the stage with bands like Slipknot, Sister Hazel, The Urge, 311, and many more.
